EvacFlo

Summary

The EvacFlo is developed by Sanverbos, Inc. an early-stage medical technology device startup with a lofty objective: to revolutionize surgical performance and the medical and dental procedure industry.

EvacFlo (U.S. Patent No. 9930918) is a medical glove with an incorporated channel for suction capability allowing a surgeon, veterinarian, or dentist the use of both hands and the ability to maintain a clear operative field during a procedure while retaining flexibility for dexterity and precise manipulation at their fingertips.

Why EvacFlo

IMPROVE EFFICIENCY AND PRECISION

Most surgeries are done with an assistant retracting tissue and suctioning with hand held devices to provide clear access to the field. It's a moment-to-moment or second-to-second skill requiring surgeon/assistant cohesion, and is not an intuitive practice. Current suctioning instruments are imprecise extensions of the operator's hand in comparison to the operating surgeon or dentist's own fingers, which are controlled, precisely and, dexterously where necessary. EvacFlo improves surgeon and assistants productivity and can also save many minutes of procedure time that can translate to millions of dollars saved for an institution over the course of a year.

LOWER RISKS AND SAVE LIVES

EvacFlo saves time and ultimately saves lives, during surgical procedures, with increased medical efficiencies. During dental or medical procedures, suctioning devices are used to remove fluids, such as blood, saliva, and emesis or debris such as tissue, bone, or amalgam from the operative field allowing surgeon full view of work in the operative site.  EvacFlo effectively improves outcomes through improved intraoperative visibility and shorter surgery time which directly and indirectly helps decrease postoperative complication risk.

health and environment awareness

California Nursing Association(CNA) has been involved with the State on legislation in process of being passed to take action regarding cautery smoke in operating rooms. The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, Go Clear program, aims to bring awareness to the harmful effects of surgical smoke.  EvacFlo is an environment-friendly device that aims to helps protect the health of practitioners and their patients by evacuating cautery smoke at its origin.
